There’s a drawing table back there, a spare door… I love these animals, they’re all so brain dead.Įd asks Edd for eyeliner and Edd rushes to the cow’s aid. So I guess Eddy’s mom is kinda naggy?Įddy’s kicks a sprinkler under Victor and it pumps Victor into the air. Eddy goes “DA GOAT?” and then mutters that Edd is worse than his mother.
He’s very skilled at this, he should go into veterinary science when he’s older. The cow doesn’t seem to have a canon name, but in season 2, Ed calls it 'Poochie’, and in the season 5 era video game 'Scam of the Century’, the narrator and Rolf call it 'Beatrice.' That game had writers from the show, so I do want to consider it canon, but you just never know.Įddy’s gonna take a break but karma snaps his lawn chair on him.Įdd is clipping the chickens’ talons. The same sound effect is used during the car chase in the movie, I love it.Įddy winks at his reflection in the pig’s buttocks.Įd thinks the cow’s spots are dirt marks, so he uses his whole body to wash her. There is this hilariously terrible sound effect that is totally just a guy saying “oink” looped and SPED UP throughout this shot, hahaha. Eddy is putting forth an unusual amount of effort! Pink season 1 Wilfred is getting his butt waxed. So maybe Eddy’s got family in Texas? Or he’s been to Texas? Probably a reference to Rod Filbrandt who I believe worked on the show’s backgrounds. We’re all familiar with 666 being a scaaary number, but I wonder what the FIL means.
Wow, this screenshot shows every phase of the wash all at once, hahaĮdd is the one operating the conveyor belt, I’m impressed by how thoroughly the artists thought this contraption through.Įdd hangs the chickens to dry and scolds Ed for peeping on the bathing chickens.Įddy’s garage has a chainsaw poster, a Texas bumper sticker (I guess that’s what those are?) and one that says "666-FIL.” That sounds like a license plate. With Rolf so easily convinced, we fade out and fade in on the chickens being conveyor-belted into a bath like it’s a car wash.
Watching the series in order, I’m gonna try and make an effort to memorize Rolf’s family members, I’m always a little lost on who lives with him.
So, we know from a later episode that his great grandfather (his Great Nano) passed away, but his regular grandfathers are still alive and live with him. The Eds pitch their scam to Rolf (Edd is taken aback when Eddy calls the animals 'flea-infested’) and Rolf is excited because now he can watch cheese rise on his grandfathers’ backs or something. The chicken just flops over from the strain. Unfortunately, wearing metal completely weighs down this adorable dumbface chicken. Rolf sees the Eds and explains that he’s busy making chicken shoes. So I guess this is only Wilfred’s first appearance! He’s not so pink in later episodes at all.Īlso, can I just say it’s really nice to see an anvil being used properly in a cartoon for once? Let’s see… Victor’s appeared at least twice before this episode, and the cow was in 'Tag Yer Ed’… I think a chicken’s slipped in before too. The Eds go straight to the only guy in town who has any (furry) pets at all apparently. …How fortunate that the driveway and house were not damaged when the garage was forcibly removed from them! While Edd is displaying his arrangement of short and long brushes, Ed flips it… They’re running a pet boutique out of Eddy’s garage today!Īw man, Eddy replaced his orange sunglasses with green ones ):Įddy tells Ed the sign’s on upside down and Ed’s like “no, it’s on the garage." Eddy tells Ed to flip it. We flip the camera to reveal that Ed hung it upside down. There are no dogs in the episode, but there are plenty of animals so it connects to the story in that way.Įdit : We now know this episode was storyboarded by Big Jim Miller, Leah Waldron and Jason Surridge.Įd is chanting 'hammer a nail’ while nailing their new scam’s sign.
Ed’s name is on the dog’s license and the 'Bitten’ is stylized with another flea dotting the 'I’. It looks like one of the fleas has a hat. The title card has a dog (I think it looks like a pug) panting and desperately scratching at fleas, directly relating to the title. There are some subtle adult themes I will be un-subtleing in this episode, be wary. WARNING TO THE READERS WHO WANT ME TO KEEP THIS FAMILY FRIENDLY. The episode spirals out from a grooming scam the Eds attempt to run, hence the reference to fleas and animals. ‘Flea Bitten Ed’ = Flea Bitten Dog/Mutt/what-have-you.
